With a professional background that spans from women’s couture and custom garments to men’s contemporary fashion and fast fashion, Lane has seen the full spectrum of what the fashion world has to offer. This extensive experience, combined with a deep understanding of the fashion industry’s inner workings, is what inspired the creation of LDB Clothier as a unique and sustainable men’s designer brand.

On one hand, there is the timeless beauty and precision found in couture and custom garments—where each piece is crafted with painstaking attention to detail, becoming a work of art in itself. On the other hand, Lane has also witnessed the rapid, high-volume world of fast fashion, where clothing is churned out to meet fleeting trends, often at the expense of both quality and ethical responsibility. It was precisely this experience with both ends of the fashion spectrum that sparked the desire to create something different—something that would bridge the gap between artistry and sustainability.

LDB Clothier was founded on the belief that men’s fashion can be expressive, individual, and environmentally conscious all at once. As Lane saw the historic artistry in fashion diminish, particularly with the rise of fast-paced trends, department store closures, and the downturn in bespoke tailoring, it became clear that the industry was moving away from its roots. The craftsmanship that used to define personal style was being lost in the race for cheaper, trendier clothing. Yet, in the midst of this shift, Lane also noticed a new wave of personal expression taking place. Modern style pioneers were beginning to reclaim their wardrobes, embracing pieces that felt authentic to their individual journeys rather than adhering to fleeting trends.
